How come? Well you figure the boyz had that jobs number in their back pockets for more than a few days... Sure looks to me like they knew exactly how to engineer the pullback.

I was busy covering at the open on Friday given the extreme bearishness in the previous 2 sessions, although I must admit I expected a squeeze sooner than Friday's close. My system signals a high early in the week, so we will see how this will end. The cycle low is still due at the middle of the month. Probably a visit of the gap support at 1525 by the end of the week... I think it will be bullish thereafter till the expirations.

These are mostly triggered because of the stupid algorithms that buy or sell based on linear regressions. There must be many many of these rebalancing algorithms running on the buy or sell side as these cannot be triggered by simple traders drawing lines here and there. But funny how, the end result is the same.

Whales can trigger no doubt, the end result is not always the same.

Unless you are saying some simple traders can end up in jail by losing multi-BILLIONS of OPM (Other People's Money).

No. what I said is very straight forward. I said these rallies and sell offs are triggered by the buy and sell programs that are using some sort of short term linear regressions and their channels (standard deviations). You seem to have a better eye perhaps to pick up these channels quickly. Of course, sometimes simplicity works best, but not always...

I dont call myself "Eye of LOL" for only lol sake. Eye interacts with brain where 20 some years of trading futures experiences store.

When we were just a child, we see mountain as just mountain; later we grew more complicated, mountain reveals all its contents, we see more than just a mountain; once we grew much older and simpler, mountain reversed back to simple mountain to us again... (not about Alzheimer lol)

That could just be one simple and stupid algo, but as I demonstrated, PRICELINE (oops did some one used that already) and PATTERNS were programmed by juggernauts, small shrimp like me just have good eye as you said very true.

You'd be surprised if I ever show you how "LINES & PATTERNS" are actually being used by WTFMM from 1min, 5min, 15min, 30min, 60min, daily to move PRICE. I usually can only post approx 5% the most of what I see everytime I am in the market. The track record is visible INSTANTLY, no need to wait for a projected CYCLE to hit or miss.

It's the longer term longer than daily, where they more likely loose control of, apparently due to the magnitude required to move that kind of pattern and line. Move a mountain is achievable by moving a shovel a time, which they are experts; and so am I.

Let me show one more recent track record: DAX futes. Whoever have eye should see.

4/2:

Bear flag BD @7820, and only get buried in that Red Coffin BOX for one day.

So it took it down first but did not get "buried" (wonder how I used that word) FOR SURE; the cry baby's blackmail got answered and PICKED UP. Maybe it's the Easter spell?

But this newly minted intraday BEAR flag is telling what's to come again...


4/4: (never posted b4) after BD the parabola bear flag, they shape up another up-hook bear flag...


zoom in right corner of last hourly chart to see how "shovel by shovel" they move in 5min chart: then form a symmetric triangle, into a rising wedge, BD that, then into one standard bear flag, BD that into one bigger bear flag just hitting above the green pivot 7820!


4/5: (never posted b4) ...then, again BD that pivot bear flag, all the way down to form a bigger descending broadening wedge, shaping up a small local bear flag as I type in Sunday night's market.
While ES is bumping its head fooling around with that Purple line of its own...

I use trends and cycles in my analytical analysis, it has flaws too, but they also allow me to quickly scan historical patterns for the statistical comparisons...
