... findings of Richard Muller, a Berkeley physicist and self-proclaimed climate skeptic, Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature (BEST) effort that clearly shows the climate has been warming -

"Consensus scientists" have given up pretending the earth is still warming.

Research shows surprise global warming ‘hiatus’ could have been forecast

[The Guardian] Australian and US climate experts say with new ocean-based modelling tools, the early 2000s warming slowdown was foreseeable.

Australian and US researchers have shown that the slowdown in the rate of global warming in the early 2000s, known as a so-called “global warming hiatus”, could have been predicted if today’s tools for decade-by-decade climate forecasting had been available in the 1990s.

I realize that this may be a tad difficult for you to grasp, but this so-called "pause" is just another version of the skeptics' tired old trick of cherry picking the hottest year on record, 1998, as the baseline. The cherry picking has been the preeminent example of how dishonest skeptics have become; further, trying to disguise it as something new just goes to show how closed-minded and dishonest desperate skeptics have remained.

By your same reasoning, the NASDAQ top in 2000 means the tech sector has been in a bear market since the early 1990s. Maybe that's why you don't post much on the stock markets?

For a more thoughtful summary of the "pause" -

The confused mind of Richard Muller

October 2011

A leading member of Prof Muller’s team has accused him of trying to mislead the public by hiding the fact that BEST’s research shows global warming has stopped.

Muller replies: ‘We see no evidence of it [global warming] having slowed down,’ he told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme. There was, he added, ‘no leveling off’.

September 2013

Muller's op-ed in the NY Times:

"A Pause, Not an End, to Warming
As for the recent plateau, I predicted it, back in 2004
We are now in that pause, and too many people are taking it too seriously,"

Does this mean you're going to stop with the weather reports?

Those "Weather Reports" were constantly used by Al Gore et Al to "prove" global warming...

Don't you think its a tad bit hypocritical to do exactly (over and over again) what you complain that Al Gore does?

Self-awareness is a necessary foundation to rational thought processing.

Not at all.
Al Gore and I both have the same exact climate science pedigrees.
He just gets paid for his fraudulent bloviations.
It should be criminal.

I offer my mimicry without prejudice to hopefully wake up the reality deniers who think that they alone are "self-aware."

Climate models project continuing warming over the period. Since 1990, atmospheric carbon dioxide levels rose from 354 ppm to just under 400 ppm, a 13% increase…
In the surface data we compute a hiatus length of 19 years, and in the lower tropospheric data we compute a hiatus length of 16 years in the UAH series and 26 years in the RSS series.
This is “the science”. Why do warmists keep ignoring it?

The climate scare itself that is the real threat to civilization.

From 2001 to 2014 the US government spent $131 billion on projects meant to combat human-caused climate change, plus $176 billion for breaks for anti-CO2 energy initiatives.
DaaBoyz do quite well with their scare machine in spite of the facts:

“CO2 is said to be responsible for global warming that is not occurring, for accelerated sea-level rise that is not occurring, for net glacial and sea ice melt that is not occurring . . . and for increasing extreme weather that is not occurring.”

Consider:
According to NASA satellites and all ground-based temperature measurements, global warming ceased in the late 1990s. This when CO2 levels have risen almost 10 percent since 1997. The post-1997 CO2 emissions represent an astonishing 30 percent of all human-related emissions since the Industrial Revolution began. That we’ve seen no warming contradicts all CO2-based climate models upon which global-warming concerns are founded.

Rates of sea-level rise remain small and are even slowing, over recent decades averaging about 1 millimeter per year as measured by tide gauges and 2 to 3 mm/year as inferred from “adjusted” satellite data. Again, this is far less than what the alarmists suggested.
Satellites also show that a greater area of Antarctic sea ice exists now than any time since space-based measurements began in 1979. In other words, the ice caps aren’t melting.
A 2012 IPCC report concluded that there has been no significant increase in either the frequency or intensity of extreme weather events in the modern era. The NIPCC 2013 report concluded the same. Yes, Hurricane Sandy was devastating — but it’s not part of any new trend.

Another trend not ending is fleecing the masses with reality-denying scare tactics.

Climatologist Dr. Judith Curry warns of decades of possible global cooling

Climatologist Dr. Judith Curry, who was until recently the Chair of School of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences at Georgia Institute of Technology, detailed her conversion from a scientist who accepted the global warming “consensus” on man-made global warming to one who now openly challenges it. Curry spoke at the National Press Club in Washington DC on September 16 at an event sponsored by the George C. Marshall Institute.

Curry warned of possible global cooling. “We also see a cooling period starting around the turn of the (21st) century.” She also suggested that the “current cool phase will continue until the 2030s.”

Richard Muller:

It is impossible to conclude from our analysis which of
2014, 2010, or 2005 was actually the warmest year.

That is an indication that the Earth’s average temperature for the last decade has changed very little.

For only the contiguous United States, 2014 ranked nominally as the 38th warmest
year on record since 1850

Roy Spencer:

I am embarrassed by the scientific community’s behavior on this subject.

Reports that 2014 was the “hottest” year on record feed the insatiable appetite the public has for definitive, alarming headlines. It doesn’t matter that even in the thermometer record, 2014 wasn’t the warmest within the margin of error. Who wants to bother with “margin of error”?

In what universe does a temperature change that is too small for anyone to feel over a 50 year period become globally significant?

World renowned climate scientists, Al Gore and Pharrell Williams will address the billionaires on the danger of Global Warming caused by private jets.

(I guess Will-I-Am was busy this year.)

1,700 Private Jets Fly to Davos to Discuss 'Global Warming'...
The influx of private jets is so great, the Swiss Armed Forces has been forced to open up a military air base for the first time ever to absorb all the super rich flying their private jets into the event, reports Newsweek.

Legendary Climatologist Pahrrell Williams stresses the importance of large hats in defeating Global Warming.
"Man it's hot up there!"
At $40,000 a ticket this guy will no doubt be HAPPY!
