Can somebody help explain any significance, if any, as to how an order fills.
Say I place a limit order, for example, of 2,000 shares of ABC stock at XX.XX price,
Sometimes my orders will be chipped away 100, 200, 300, 100, etc. till the order is filled if not an AON, and other times I will just be filled completely at once.
Does this bare any significance? Does it signal something to any traders? Just curious. THX for the help.

Hi hare-bear.
I would guess it depends primarily on your stock's trading volume at a particular time and price.
A limit order will be filled only when there are offers at that price, thus a more thinly traded stock is typically going to be filled at a slower rate than a more widely traded stock.
